As a Project Manager at DLR Group|Kwan Henmi, you will be a key member of the design team, responsible for leading the team to design excellence on budget and on schedule.

We are looking for Architects to fill this role in the Multi-Family Housing, Transportation, Higher Education, and K-12 Sectors.

Position Summary:

You will work directly with Clients to listen, interpret and help achieve their vision. You will provide leadership within the Design Team during all phases of a project, to assure Design excellence while ensuring the financial health of the project. You will partner with thought leaders, consultants and vendors both within and outside DLR Group. You will occasionally interview in front of clients representing DLR Group.

The successful candidate will:

  • Value, expect and enable Great Design.
  • Work as part of the Design Team to ensure design excellence.
  • Be able to manage large and complex design projects.
  • Be responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Serve as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
  • Develop project Work Plans (schedule, budget, cartoon set) for project success.
  • Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
  • Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on the most complex projects.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of work of less experienced project managers
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ten or more years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design from an accredited program.
  • A collaborative management style and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication and public speaking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional license.
  • Five years project management experience.
  • Some knowledge of and experience with Revit or other design software.
  • Experience with industry standard design software: MS Office; Adobe suite; Rhino, Sketchup, etc.
  • The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
