Position Summary 

As an Architectural Designer on our Workplace Team at DLR Group you will be responsible for preparing construction documents, specifications, and team coordination for commercial interior projects.  As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Assist the design team during the design phases.
  • Assist with project building code reviews and compliance.
  • Participate in construction administration, including review of shop drawings and submittals, field bulletins, site visits and quality control.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of construction document organization and production.  Understands commercial Interiors.
  • Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years of architectural experience documenting and designing complex buildings.
  • Technical Degree in Architecture or Interior Design. 
  • Experience in commercial interiors leading the documentation of mid to large scale commercial projects.
  • Intermediate and demonstrated ability in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Proficient in the use of computer modeling and rendering software.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SketchUp and the Adobe Suite.
  • Proficient in the use of Revit and AutoCAD.
