Location:

  • Orlando, FL

We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Must be local to Orlando or willing to relocate to the area.

As Architectural Staff at DLR Group, you will support all aspects of the project document development and coordinate with all project team members to produce a quality work product while adhering to the project schedule and work plan. You will collaborate directly with the Project Architect and Project Manager to support client needs and the project's financial health. As a valued member of our integrated design teams, you will advocate for designs that elevate the human experience through design.

Position Summary:

You will assist the Project Manager & Project Architect in ensuring the project's financial health, project documents and design quality, claim prevention, team collaboration, and communication. Additionally, you will have a comprehensive understanding of codes, technical knowledge, and the ability to support the design disciplines in developing technical, detailed solutions.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a strong communicator, collaborative, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Identifies and proposes technical solutions to design challenges.
  • Provides technical feedback in the conceptual development of project documents.
  • Produces accurate documents for project assignments.
  • Apply practice standards to project assignments and deliver objectives on time.
  • Communicate to the Project Manager & Project Architect the progress of assignments according to the established project schedule and work plan.
  • Ensures project scope, goals, objectives, and information is incorporated into project documents.
  • Collaborate with the PM in the development of the work plan.
  • Support senior architectural staff in the code review for straightforward applications.
  • Develop a cartoon set with limited oversight.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing the agenda for the weekly team meetings and assist in weekly meeting minutes recording.
  • QA/QC one’s own work product and the work product of others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience as architectural support staff or project coordination.
  • Professional Degree in Architecture or Design.
  • Proficient in the use of REVIT and CAD computer modeling and rendering software.
  • The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect in the State of FL
  • Experience with Higher Education or K-12 project types
