DLR Group's has an opening for a Strategic Intelligence Leader in our Minneapolis studio. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

Position Summary

As the Strategic Intelligence Leader, you will guide market intelligence and partner on strategic planning efforts firm-wide, closely supporting the Chief Growth Officer and Chief Development Officer. They will continuously scan the horizon, leveraging best-in-class market research tactics and competitive analysis to uncover new areas for sector growth, service expansions, and geographic footprint increases. The Strategic Intelligence Leader will be directly involved in the business planning process, identifying feasible new offerings that maximize our core expertise in innovative ways. They will analyze markets, evaluate potential impacts, and integrate growth and resiliency strategies into annual plans to drive business results.

The successful candidate will:

  • Establish robust market intelligence processes to continuously monitor market dynamics, customer needs, competitor moves, and disruptive forces impacting DLR Group’s global sectors, services and M&A activities.
  • Synthesize market intelligence findings into actionable insights and incorporate them into the strategic planning process to drive continuous business growth across all sectors.
  • Establish channels for information sharing and knowledge transfer within the organization, ensuring that market intelligence insights are effectively communicated and utilized across departments, business units and geographies.
  • Lead initiatives to build a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing, encouraging employees to stay informed about market trends and developments relevant to their roles.
  • Evaluate market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer needs to support growth strategies & potential acquisitions, locations or services.
  • Monitor demographic trends, geopolitical changes, industry trends, regulatory changes, or emerging technologies that create risks and opportunities.
  • Inform and support business plan creation with a bias toward identification of expanded growth opportunities for global sector markets or services in line with the firm Vision.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, or similar field
  • 10+ years of experience in business strategy or business leadership with
  • consistently expanding scope of responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated and successful experience driving business through application of market analysis, strategic planning, operational implementation, and risk mitigation.
  • Previous experience driving business growth and expansion strategies, while managing risk.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and strategies to effectively lead organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience working in a global environment, with an understanding of international markets and cultural nuances.
  • Ability to travel for business needs.
