As a?Client Leader?at DLR Group you will be responsible for leading client engagement from marketing through the construction phase for our K-12 Sector. As a part of an integrated design team, you will participate in the creation of buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

Position Summary

In this role you will be involved in business development, lead and manage contract negotiations, as well as inform clients about our design procedures. Collaborating with project managers is essential to ensuring the financial well-being and effective completion of our projects, while also maintaining regular communication with clients throughout their project's duration. You will have direct interaction with and engage our local and national resources to pursue and deliver projects. An effective Client Leader maintains client contact for the duration of the project, supports a work environment that fosters innovation, and provides a positive responsiveness to the client’s goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an appreciation and passion for leading an integrated design team.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of coordination aspects related to requirements of all design disciplines.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills.
  • Be a growth agent to the K-12 Sector in collaboration with other sector leaders including business development professionals.
  • Ensure all DLR Group practice standards are followed during the duration of the project.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and adhere to the project work plan and schedule.
  • Lead the contract negotiations and approve all contract changes.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and engage client for prompt payment.
  • Mentor team members and participate in hiring, training, and onboarding of new staff.
  • Participate in in-house training activities to further develop your skills and abilities.
  • Ability to travel as projects require.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role for multiple K-12 projects.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Client Leader.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Licensed Professional.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
