Our team has an opening for an experienced Project Manager. DLR Group operates within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

Locations: Washington, DC

Position Summary:

As a Project Manager at DLR Group, you will lead projects on budget and schedule while delivering design excellence. As part of our integrated design teams, you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

You'll supervise architectural, engineering, and design staff hands-on during all project phases and partner with vendors and consultants as needed.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop project Work Plans (schedule, budget, cartoon set) for project success.
  • Be responsible for coordinating all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Serve as the primary liaison contact with clients to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
  • Proactively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
  • Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of the work of less experienced project managers
  • Understand Business Development and genuinely and consistently build and maintain ongoing professional relationships with the clients.
  • Assist in winning work and possess great communication and presentation skills

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10+ years of experience leading and working on large-scale, complex institutional projects, including educational and municipal work.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project for project scheduling, Excel for budgeting and fee proposals, and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Must have a collaborative management style and strong people skills.
  • Must be an excellent mentor to younger staff.
  • Must have good communication and public speaking skills to participate in interviews and client presentations.
  • Must be willing to travel as projects or tasks require.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect.
  • Proficiency in the use of use of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative suite, Sketch-Up, and other design software

The potential pay range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000.
